Top City for Renters?

I fully expect after posting this that I’ll get some ‘what were you thinking?’s from some of my fellow Realtors, but the reality is that home ownership isn’t for everyone, and the fact that our city’s so affordable in so many ways is what makes it great, so here’s one for the renters out there:

BusinessWeek teamed up with Reis to come up with the most affordable large metro areas in terms of rents as a portion of local income. Oklahoma City, where people spent just 12% of their income on rent, was the most affordable.

Hey Ryan, no I don't think you're crazy for that- you're right, not everyone is meant to or can afford to buy a home right now. We have to think in terms of what's best for the individual in the present. That's why there are so many lease-to-purchase/lease w/options out there right now.

    • Rebecca, thanks for your input. I'm a believer that it's out job to help everyone we can, and showing off what's great about our cities is just a small part of that.
