Hello OKC! Kaci Abbey here, newest addition to the ShowMeOKC Team. I’ve only been a resident of the great state of Oklahoma since September, but I can already see a long future here. My life so far has been spent bouncing around the country, exploring cities like St. Louis, Cleveland, Raleigh-Durham, Atlanta, DC, and Orlando. Each new destination has helped me grow and learn in some way, but I never remained anywhere for more than a year or two, always eager to move on to the next adventure. I wasn’t in Oklahoma City for long before I realized that I had never before felt so at home. I had planned on getting a taste of the city then finding a new destination to move on to; but as the one year marker of my time here draws closer, I have accepted the fact that a year or two here is simply not enough.
There is so much left to explore in OKC, so I have made it my mission to get to know the familiar hotspots, and perhaps discover some hidden treasures of my own. I have learned that no matter your location, you will get out of it what you put into it. I’m going to put my whole heart into this city and continue to make the most of my new home!
