Once again, our wonderful Oklahoma City metro is being trumpeted by Forbes.com as one of the top 10 in the realm of real estate and, again, this comes as no surprise to me, being that I live & breathe real estate in Edmond, Oklahoma City, and throughout the metro. These types of stories do seem to surprise some though, most likely because we’re inundated daily with national stories of a more negative tone, highlighting economic and real estate news.
Forbes took a look at the 100 largest metro areas and compared unemployment rates, home prices, job growth projections, and population increases with last year to come up with an idea of which metros are most likely to lead the way upward. Just keeping an eye on the great economic news in Oklahoma City will give you a good solid understanding of why OKC belongs on such a list. Other cities on the list include:
- San Jose, CA
- Houston, TX
- Raleigh, NC
- Austin, TX
- Boston, MA
- Pittsburgh, PA
- Fort Worth, TX
- New Orleans, LA
- Rochester, NY
By the way, that awesome shot of the OKC skyline that you see above was shot by our good friend Brad Stone a few months ago. Our sunsets rock!!
